Paint with Pastels with Beverley Conrad

This class will teach the basics of working with pastel chalk from how to choose materials to how to keep the colors clear and vibrant. Unlike wet paint, with pastel painting the colors are mixed on the paper as you go.  There’s a technique to this in order to keep the colors fresh! Learn to coax a rainbow of colors from a limited selection of chalk, as well as how to fix mistakes without having the work turn to mud.

Instructor will have a variety of pastel chalks and paper types for demonstration. Please bring soft pastels, not oil pastels, to work with.

Email bevconrad@yahoo.com to claim your seat. Put PASTEL in subject line. Class size is limited to ten for social distancing. View the calendar for upcoming classes!
